The Research School gives doctoral students the opportunity to do research independently as young researchers and to study within a highly innovative interdisciplinary program. The study program will apply a combination of different teaching and learning methods: Doctoral students will participate in scientific discourse in forms of lectures, workshops, and colloquia to which international guest scientists will also be invited.

To guarantee the high standards of training, the program is obligatory with flexible arrangements in special cases (e.g. in case of exceptional previous knowledge). The courses will take place on a rotational basis at both universities.
